My first AAA studio I worked for, and the reason I moved up to the Pacific Northwest back in 2015 and have been calling it home ever since. Seeing Mt. Rainier for the first time after landing into Seatac, I knew this area was going to be special to me. The drive from the airport to near their office in Bellevue, WA and seeing the city skyline crest over Lake Washington with Mt Rainier in the distance, I was just in complete disbelief of the backdrop in the best way possible, instant inspiration.
True stepping stone for my life and game development career. The SP Crew taught me a lot about teamwork, especially when you are trying to onboard and learn proprietary engine, tools, and workflows. Learning the cadence switch from free form look development to a focused full production milestone was invaluable. The art and graphics team when I was working there were incredibly talented people, consistently pushing the fidelity bar each review, it set a standard that made me a better artist. It was cool to help work on Ghosts of Tsushima in it’s early infancy, and lay some of the groundwork on the environment art side.
